PS3 folding client [bakes 2007-04-15 05:05:13] Overclockers Australia have a movie up of a demonstration of the Folding@home client for Sony Play Station 3. Since the client was released earlier this month, 87639 PS3's have returned work units for Stanfords folding at home project.
The PS3 is a very powerful folding platform. To give you an idea of how powerful, take a look at this:
Folding stats link
The windows platform has a total of 183752 active CPU's producing 175 TFLOPS according to Stanford. The PS3 platform only has 31497 active CPU's and is producing 413 TFLOPS!!!!
I'm not a big fan of console, but one of these suckers just may end up producing some output for our sluggish folding team
Britney Spears upskirts??!!??? [Mr.Perv 2007-01-02 08:36:05]
This is no joke everyone. The lovley Britney Spears had the decency to go out for a night with Paris with NO PANTIES on and a SHORT Skirt. Thanks to fleshbot.com for mirroring the pics.

And just incase you were wondering, there is no new sex tape of Britney with anyone, this as far as we can tell is just a load of crap roaming the net.

Weird Al White And Nerdy [bakes 2006-09-25 12:25:14]
If you don't know who Weird Al is, then its time you found out. His other best parody is "Its all about the pentiums". Check this vid out, absolute classic, and it has reference to the Star Wars Holiday Christmas Special!! If you don't know what that is, good. Keep it that way.
Zune News [ 2006-09-21 06:20:32]
As you can probally guess, from some of the content on this site, we are not the biggest MAC fans. I'm the sort of person that cringes when i hear the word "podcast" and "Itunes". Every kid and his sidekick have an Ipod of some sort. I'm not exactly the biggest Microsoft fan either, but they have done a lot more for the world than MAC has in the past 10 years :-P
If you have not already heard, Microsoft are releasing their own unit for playing your music and movies on, and its called Zune! Here are some of the features you are going to get that i reckon are worth mentioning.
- WMA, MP3, AAC, JPEG,WMV, MPEG-4, H.264 media playback
- Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) connectivity
- TV output connectivity 640x480
- PC Compatability (no Mac client at launch) :-)
I will definatly be getting one of these :-)It should be out by Christmas in the US. More info and updates on this product here:

News [bakes 2005-09-06 03:00:40]
First I would like to say that our hearts here at kernalpanic go out to the people of New Orleans and the victims and victims famalies.
Even though this is not really all that funny, one cant help but laugh at the whole thing. Found on the overclockers australia forums, and titled "Remember, black people loot things, white people just find". I know its racist, but it could be an honest mistake.
A lil bit of news [Bakes 2005-03-19 09:31:58]
As some of you may know, Sydney is outa control with crime and looting and riots... ok, maby not looting, but there is a bit of crime, and we had a few days of riots a little while back. So someone noodlechopped the GTA cover very tastfully.
In other news, I finally got a 180SX!! I will post some pics shortly. For those of you in the US, its a 240SX, but we import them from Japan with twin cam 2lt turbos, i think you guys get 2.4lt truck motors or somthing.
Crop circle season soon!! I will report back when the first formation is layed, possibly in the next few weeks :-)
Some new movies and images up!

This swf has been doing the rounds that indicates there is ground for a conspiracy theory about what crashed into the pentagon on 9/11. Pentagon Strike!!
If you think Formula 1 spoilers on family sedans are a stupid idea, then check out Laugh at Rice.com Hahaha!!
If you need to take your mind away from situation at hand, then why not have an Office Space Moment
Is the Season Over!?! [bakes 2004-08-16 07:13:17]
The crop circle connector are claiming to have the Crop Circle of the Year chosen. This means that there may not be any more this year :-( Its been a very strange year.. lots of debate over hoaxing and all sorts of stuff that turns ur attention away from the magnificance of these constructions.
In contrast to all that, the formation chosen is splendid indeed. So remarkable that the farmer, who would normally have the shits, has plowed around it to preserve the formation. Props to him. image is copyright to the crop circle connector
I have been busy [Zeb00 2004-07-21 09:08:07]

News Update!!!! [bakes 2004-07-16 05:17:36]
Seems Stephen Hawking is changing his theory on black holes. I would not mind finding out his stance on Crop Formations.
Another artical on smh here.
Stephen Hawking would have to be the best astrophysicist of our time (no offence to other astrophysicists), and he also stars in the Simpsons :-)

Image Of The Day Launch [Zeb00 2004-06-27 09:24:42]
Today saw the official launch of one of Kernalpanic's sister sites ImageOfTheDay.org
This is starting to get very interesting [bakes 2004-06-22 04:16:44]
First up let me show you wat i belive to be a hoax. I dont think this is genuine stuff. The geometery is really awful and the shape dose nothing for me. Now with that out of the way, let me show you some real formations :-).
This showed up around the 20th of June in Wiltshire and is an awsome example of the genuine phenomenon. Cant wait for the metaphysicists to explain the meaning of this one. An interesting point to notice is that a section of it resembles this formation.
After looking at those 2 formations you may agree that the hoax i mentioned earlier falls short of making a real impression on the viewer.
Feed back about Kernalpanic [Bakes 2004-06-16 12:44:59]
Being a bit sick and for lack of anything better to do I logged on to the bittorentloving fat fingered phone dismantlersfav site and managed to get some feedback on kernalpanic. Heres wat this CCGL (Central Coast Gamers League) member had to say.
[blot0|afk] one of the povo'est sites i have ever seen before.. all with no real meaning or
specific content type.. WOW.. you have reached new heights of crap ness
Well he liked it, we must be doing something right. I thought I'd dig a little deeper and find out wat makes these ccgl guys tick. I found this pic. What we really need is feedback from credible people like YOU! Make a post on our forums and tell us wat u think or wat you would like to see.
Remarkable Spiral Event [Bakes 2004-06-14 08:09:13]
Reported to the CCC team on the 11th of June is this large and visually appealing spiral crop formation. It has been pointed out that this formation is very similar to stone carving's found at Newgrange Ireland that may date back as far as 3200BC.
To check out all the 2004 formation from the UK follow this link
Some new vids are up people.... enjoy [ 2004-06-09 11:38:06]
And there are plenty more on the way.. keep checking back!
An awsome ending for May!!! [ 2004-06-02 11:41:16]
Just as may is about to end and awsome example of sacred geometry is displayed in England. The farmer has already hacked into it in an attempt to discourage hippies. Suddenly PHI has a whole new meaning. I'm sure this season is gonna produce some amazing formations!!
News Update [bakes 2004-05-26 12:13:56]
Appologies about the lack of some sort of news.... crop formations should really kick off next month according to stats. There are a few that appear genuine but the designs although meaningful in someway did not really flick my switch. Anyway.. if u wanna have a look at what 2004 has produced so far check out CCC. Germany has produced 4 this season... all of which are being called fakes. You can see them here. There is not much info and the last one on that page looks phat, but is being called a fake, I'll keep my eye out for a better review.
Also found this article about hackers hacking faster than patchers can patch lol... dumb patchers hehe.
Apple deploy patch to fix URI handler vulnerabilities that apparently dont fix anything.. more info here
[Trust] How fast is a 486?
[Archon] dude, a 486 is 486mhz
[Archon] thats why its called a 486 you dumb fucking newb
I wanna replace Archon with this dude, but i wont :-)
1st Circle of the season. Well sort of.... [Bakes 2004-05-01 12:34:49]
Its being dubbed the first formation of the 2004 season. A ghost of a stunning formation from last year. This is going to be a very interesting season. A new section may be devoted entirely to this phenomenon.
New logo [Zeb00 2004-04-14 08:40:08]
